Chicken Alfredo & Garlic Bread

What You Need — For the Chicken Alfredo
1 lb chicken tenders
2 tablespoons all purpose chicken seasoning
2 cloves garlic, sliced or minced
1 cup chicken broth
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup parmesan cheese
1 lemon
Fettuccine
Equipment: large pot for boiling, colander, saute pan, sheet tray
What You Need — For the Garlic Bread
1 large french roll
1/2 cup butter
Garlic powder
Equipment: skillet
What You Do — For the Chicken Alfredo
Season chicken with all purpose seasoning, 1 tablespoon olive oil and a squeeze of lemon.
Let set for at least 20 minutes.
Sear chicken in hot sauté pan for 2 – 3 minutes on each side until you get a bit of color.
Remove from pan. Chicken will not be all the way cooked.
Begin to cook pasta according to box directions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water when draining.
Using the same pan, sauté the garlic over low heat until fragrant.
Add in chicken stock and reduce by half.
Add in heavy cream and reduce until slightly thickened.
Once cream is thickened, add in chopped chicken and reduce heat to low to allow chicken to cook all the way through.
Add in cooked pasta and parmesan cheese. Stir to combine.
What You Do — For the Garlic Bread
Stir together softened butter and garlic powder and 1 teaspoon salt.
Spread onto bread.
Use a skillet to toast bread to golden brown perfection.
